Mig and tig Welding Systems

Automatic tig welding system for textile machinery

An SPM was developed for a textile machine manufacturer. Coimbatore. Tig welding system incorporated state of the art technology complete with Tig welding power source, Twin Welding head carrying to tig torches operated through thyristor controlled servo drives, ball screws, electronic arc feedback controlled, dc motor operated trolly carrying both welding heads. Pneumatic clamping to hold the Job(Stainless steel heat transfer tube). The entire welding of 3 mtrs is carried out in less than 3 minutes with high accuracy. The welding is fusion welding with TIG Process.

Mig welding systems

Two station Mig welding system is developed for stator of the submersible pump. The machine incorporates hydraulically operated mechanism for clamping the stator horizontally and welds the S. S. tube with M. S. end rings. This Mig welding system replaces manual Tig welding through welding automation giving excellent weld bead. This process reduces the production time dramatically to three minutes instead of thirty minutes. Since welding is carried out automatically, the dependence on a skilled operator is eliminated. Thus this is an important in the hand of submersible pump maker to improve weld quality, improve productivity and eliminate skilled man power.

Automatic Mig welding system for gear assembly

Keje developed Mig system for Gear assembly for tractor component for Auto Ancillary Unit. They supplied the gear assembly to GMR, USA, a tractor manufacturing company. The machine consists of one power source (80% duty cycle, 2 wire feeder units & 2 stationary welding rotators. The welding rotator was rotated through dc motor drive with thyristor control circuit for precise speed. The gas chosen was 95% argon and 5% oxygen. The weld bead was bright due to oxygen in the gas. As the component was a critical part of tractor gear assembly, the component was tested at high speeds for a predetermined time and checked for weld quality before and after the test runs.

Mig welding systems for idler rollers

It was an ideal machine to carry out welding of idlers of conveyor. The system consisted of a D.C. motor & gear box in head stock having center to hold are the end of the idler. The other end of the roller is held by tail stock center. The welding torch was provided on torch holder which was movable along the length of job manually. The welding was carried out at both ends of idler roller circumferentially.

Automatic Mig welding systems for Flex plate

It is a manipulator with three MIG welding machines to carry out welding of FLEX Plate required by car. These rings are exported to countries like USA, Japan and Europe. The ring placed on a metal circular plate is welded at 12 equidistance places. The Drive Mechanism comprised of a DC Motor with a reduction gear. The torches would approach the Job Pneumatically and the indexing cam was used to obtain weld joints at desired locations.
